Today I am going to talk about communities specifically Tech Communities, also I’ll be sharing my experiences.
So firstly, What are communities? Communities as we all know is place where different people gather and share their knowledge and information. Similarly, Tech Communities are places either offline/online where different people with different sets of knowledge and skills gather together and share their knowledge and experiences and also help each other.
Why do we need them?
Now the question arises why do we need to get involved in these communities? So the simple answer to this question is to learn from different industry experts and different people all around the world and make your brand around them. These communities are a great way to connect to these people and to share your learnings and experiences.
It’s also very good that these Tech communities are very beginner friendly i.e. people with no knowledge of Tech can also get involved in these types of communities.
Ethics To Follow
So as we all know that these communities are very beginner friendly and have a healthy environment, this is our duty to maintain that environment while we are getting involved in them. Their some ethics that everyone should keep in their mind while getting involved in these communities.
-
Be Thankful: Thanking people who helped you is a great way to make connections and it creates a good image of yours in front of them.
-
Be Patient: “Patience is the key”. Don’t rush. People have their work to do.
-
Help Others: Help others so that people help you back.
-
Be Active: Now this is one of the most important ones and many people ignore this point. Many people join these communities and sit idle and are not active and even don’t what going on in the community. If you are not active in these communities there is no point in getting involved in them. So please be active in these communities.
How To Find Communities?
This is the very basic question that arises to people who want to get involved in these Tech communities. The solution is to ask people about different communities that exist. Go on Twitter follow people with your interests ask them, etc. I’ll be mentioning a few of them to help you out.
